Dutch Eredivisie club FC Twente has officially terminated the contract of assistant trainer Ivar van Dinteren, effective July 10, 2026.
The decision was made due to a lack of chemistry between Van Dinteren and the current technical staff.

Van Dinteren was in the final year of his second stint with the club.
According to regional newspaper Tubantia, the management sought a new dynamic after internal friction during the previous season.
He had already been absent from pre-season training sessions while both sides negotiated a financial settlement.
Talks about a different role within the organization were unsuccessful, leading to the departure agreement.
FC Twente has already filled the vacancy by hiring Tristan Berghuis earlier this summer as Van Dinteren's direct replacement.
Luc Stolker has also been added to the technical staff.

General Director Dominique Scholten stated: "Recently we indicated that we were in talks with assistant coach Ivar van Dinteren about his role and ambitions within FC Twente.
The parties have mutually decided to end their collaboration.
I want to thank Ivar for his commitment to the club and wish him every success in the future."
Head Trainer Jurgen van den Brom added: "This comes from all of us. I cannot say often enough that we do everything together around the first team.
We have taken responsibility for this, and now it is up to the club to reach a good solution with Ivar."

The structural changes to the coaching staff take effect immediately as the team prepares for its upcoming European and domestic campaigns.
