General Mills is recalling nearly 736,000 units of Pillsbury frozen bread rolls due to concerns they may contain glass, according to a notice from the US Food and Drug Administration.
Products Affected
The recall covers two products: Hard Roll Dough and Kaiser Roll Dough.

Hard Roll Dough involves 3,080 cases, totaling 554,400 rolls. Each case contains 180 units, with each roll weighing 2.25 ounces.
Kaiser Roll Dough involves 1,260 cases, comprising 181,440 rolls. Each case contains 144 units, with each roll weighing 2.5 ounces.
The FDA cited the presence of "potential foreign material (glass)" as the reason for the recall.
Distribution and Dates
The affected products were distributed to multiple states, including Arkansas, California, Florida, and Texas.
General Mills initiated the recall on June 19.

Food service operators should check for Hard Roll Dough cases marked with a "better if used by" date of October 12, 2026, under recall number H-1154-2026.
Kaiser Roll Dough carries recall number H-1155-2026 and has a use-by date of October 13, 2026.

“Freshly baked, scratch-like bread is possible without increasing labor costs.
Simply thaw, proof, and bake pre-portioned dough to make your desired quantity of rolls,” said a General Mills spokesperson.

This recall follows a trend of food safety issues, including a March recall involving millions of pounds of frozen chicken and pork products due to similar contamination risks.
