The Jensen Interceptor GTX is nearing its global debut, but it won't be available for purchase. The company has confirmed the model is a track-only development car.

Pre-Production Prototype

Jensen described the Interceptor GTX as a “pre-production, ultra high-performance, track-only special.” It serves as a foundation for future Interceptor variants, including road-going models and track-focused cars.

The vehicle is an “enhanced prototype build” used for testing. It paves the way for customer cars, but the GTX itself is not a production model.

Managing Director David Duerden stated, “The Interceptor GTX is no static show car.

It is a track-focused special, developed as an enhanced prototype build, which will preview upcoming Jensen models.”

The GTX is scheduled to debut in the second quarter of 2026, fittingly 60 years after the original Jensen Interceptor launch.

All-New Design

The Interceptor GTX is not a restomod or continuation of any previous model. It is a ground-up design featuring a hand-built contemporary aluminum body and an aluminum chassis.

Under the hood, a supercharged V8 engine promises the “ultimate analogue driving experience.”

Reports suggest it could be a GM-sourced 6.2-liter V8 producing 685 hp and 673 lb-ft of torque, as seen in the CT5-V Blackwing F1 Collector Series.

Jensen has not confirmed the engine details, but the prototype is intended to preview upcoming models.

For now, the GTX remains a track-only special that enthusiasts can admire but not buy.
