The Freelander 8 features a Super Intelligent Valet Parking (SIVP) system.
Using a smartphone app, the owner can leave the vehicle at a drop-off point, and the SUV will autonomously find a parking spot.
When ready to leave, the owner can summon the car back.
The system is intended for hotels, offices, and shopping centers, but will only be available in selected international markets.

Recent reports suggest a range-extender setup from JLR, likely pairing a turbocharged 1.5-liter engine with a 60.3 kWh battery pack.
