The San Francisco police department's marine unit has located the submerged wreckage of a cabin cruiser that capsized in the San Francisco Bay, according to The Guardian.

The 49-foot vessel, named the Volare, was found after the recovery of a second victim's body. The boat capsized with 20 people onboard during a memorial gathering.

The medical examiner identified the recovered body as 58-year-old Tondra Madruga, also known as Tondra Miller.

She was found near Treasure Island after a boater reported the sighting.

Madruga was among three individuals initially reported missing after a wave struck and overturned the vessel as the group gathered to scatter the ashes of a loved one.

One man, Clifford Boisa, died immediately after rescuers pulled him from the water. The U.

S. Coast Guard suspended its 800-square-mile search on Wednesday evening.

Family members shared their grief online following the recovery of Madruga by the police marine unit.

"Our family is heartbroken by the loss of our beloved mother, daughter, sister, and aunt, Tondra Madruga," said Quin Madruga, a family member.

The family also expressed gratitude for the public support during the recovery efforts.

"Our hearts remain with every family impacted, and we sincerely appreciate your kindness and understanding," said Quin Madruga.

The vessel is believed to rest on a rocky seabed in water 120 feet deep.

Police are using a remotely operated vehicle to assess if it can be safely recovered.

According to family member Ralph Boisa, the group gathered on Tuesday to celebrate the life of his daughter who passed away over a decade ago.
