A Tesla Cybertruck was torn apart in a multi-vehicle crash in Silver Spring, Maryland, after a runaway moving truck triggered a chain reaction.
The incident occurred Saturday afternoon when a moving truck reportedly lost control and plowed into a line of traffic, according to Montgomery County authorities.

At least 10 vehicles were involved in the pileup. Emergency crews arrived to find debris scattered across the roadway and vehicles at various angles.
One black SUV was lying on its side behind the Nation Capital Movers truck, while another appeared to have been T-boned and pushed along the road.
However, the Cybertruck drew the most attention.
The stainless steel pickup was split cleanly into two pieces, with the cab completely separated from the rear end and high-voltage cables dangling in mid-air.

Ten people were transported to area hospitals with minor injuries, including three pediatric patients, police said on X.
“The initial report is that a moving truck lost control and collided with at least 10 vehicles,” the department added.
Despite the dramatic wreckage, the outcome was far less severe than it could have been, officials noted.

Investigators are still working to determine what caused the moving truck to lose control. The investigation remains ongoing.
