Howard University Athletics launched a multi-year corporate partnership with local McDonald's owner-operators across the Greater Washington, D. C.
, Baltimore, and Eastern Shore areas on July 1, 2026, naming the restaurant brand an official corporate sponsor.

The agreement covers Howard's 21 NCAA Division I varsity sports competing in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference, Northeast Conference, and Eastern College Athletic Conference.
The partnership includes game-day presence, community engagement initiatives, and student-athlete mentorship programs throughout the academic year.
Howard Vice President of Athletics Kery Davis expressed enthusiasm for the long-term collaboration and its focus on developing student-athletes.
"We are extremely thrilled to partner with McDonald's," said Davis.
"This partnership gives both parties an opportunity to impact young men and women while engaging with the community and Bison Nation.

The partnership aligns the university with regional franchise owners, strengthening community involvement and leadership opportunities outside of sports competition.

The deal builds upon Howard University's expanding national athletic profile, which includes a 20-year apparel arrangement with Jordan Brand that recently produced exclusive footwear for the Bison football team ahead of the 2026 season.
