World No. 1 Scottie Scheffler will make his tournament debut at the 2026 3M Open, which begins July 23 at TPC Twin Cities in Blaine, Minnesota.
The 144-player field competes for an $8.8 million purse, with the winner earning $1.584 million and valuable FedExCup points.

Scheffler opted to play in Minnesota rather than take three weeks off before the FedExCup Playoffs, following a tied-fourth finish at the Open Championship at Royal Birkdale.
Scheffler Praises Tournament Hospitality
After playing a nine-hole pro-am alongside Minnesota Vikings head coach Kevin O'Connell, Scheffler commended the tournament's organization and local support.
"The people have been tremendous, the fans have been really nice to me so far, and the tournament seems to do a really good job just taking care of everybody," Scheffler said Wednesday.
He noted that high-quality amenities and family support make participation seamless. "Clubhouse has been good.
Food's been really good. Family's taken care of.
Caddie's taken care of," Scheffler added.
Reflecting on fan interactions, Scheffler expressed surprise at the warm reception.
"People seem to be really thankful that we're here, which is surprising for a golf tournament," he said.
"I was kind of taken aback by how nice people have been."
