Zakaria Ouazane has joined the joint youth academy of FC Twente and Heracles Almelo. The 21-year-old will play for the under-21 team for one season.
Ouazane made the move after mutually terminating his contract with Ajax. Dutch reports confirmed the transfer on July 25.

Other Transfer Updates
FC Twente extended an offer to Younes Taha to renew his contract until mid-2029. The midfielder is attracting interest from clubs in Portugal, Italy, Germany, and Austria.
Heracles Almelo signed 17-year-old Tarik Hamamioglu from the FC Twente/Heracles academy on a three-year deal.
The local talent debuted last season and has trained regularly with the first team.
Heracles will trial two young players: Naba Mensah from Bayer Leverkusen and Ben Thau from Maccabi Netanya. Both are promising midfielders and forwards.
David Tomic has joined Heracles from Stuttgarter Kickers on a two-year contract with an option for a third year.

He adds creativity and energy to the midfield.
FC Twente also extended the contract of midfielder Lynn Groenewegen until mid-2028. She has Champions League experience and has been capped by the Dutch national team.
PEC Zwolle secured winger Ibrahim Cissoko on a contract through mid-2030. He brings speed and technical skill from experience in strong leagues.
Ajdin Hrustic, after leaving Heracles, signed with Al-Nasr in the United Arab Emirates.

FC Twente inquired about Gyrano Kerk, but no agreement was reached as Kerk is expected to transfer elsewhere.
