Former Alabama pitcher Montana Fouts pitched a complete game to lead the Utah Talons to a 6-1 victory over the Chicago Bandits on Sunday, July 26, 2026, at Davis Diamond in College Station, Texas.
The win secured the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL) title for the Talons, completing a sweep in the best-of-three championship series after a 2-1 win in Saturday's opening game.
Fouts allowed just one run on eight hits while striking out four batters to seal the championship.
The performance capped a stellar season for the 2023 Alabama graduate, who was named the AUSL Pitcher of the Year.
She set a single-season league record with 63 strikeouts over 61.1 innings pitched, finishing with a 7-4 record and a 2.36 ERA.
This championship marks the second consecutive league title for both Fouts and the Utah Talons, who also won the inaugural AUSL title in front of a sellout crowd at Rhoads Stadium.
During her collegiate career at Alabama from 2019 to 2023, the four-time All-American amassed 100 wins and earned numerous accolades, including the 2021 SEC Pitcher of the Year and the 2023 Honda Sport Award.
