Precautionary evacuation orders remain active across 11 municipalities in Spain's Toledo province as advancing central peninsular wildfires threaten the Tiétar Valley and Sierra de San Vicente regions.
The Burgohondo blaze, originating in Ávila, has prompted authorities to displace residents from several towns due to severe smoke and advancing fire risks.

Affected Municipalities
The evacuation orders cover Sartajada, Almendral de la Cañada, La Iglesuela del Tiétar, Buenaventura, Navamorcuende, El Real de San Vicente, Hinojosa de San Vicente, Castillo de Bayuela, Garciotum, Nuño Gómez, and Pelahustán.
More than a thousand evacuees are currently staying at fairground facilities in Talavera de la Reina.
Local livestock farmers have received limited, guarded access to feed their animals under strict security supervision.

Return Conditions
Government Delegate in Castilla-La Mancha, José Julián Sabrido, stated that safety conditions must be evaluated before permitting any residential return.
"It will always be subject to prior review by the UME of the conditions in each of the municipalities, and it will be the UME that has to decide whether or not people can return to their homes," Sabrido said.
Officials established an Advanced Command Post in La Iglesuela del Tiétar to stop the Burgohondo fire from moving south.

Emergency services report that air quality has significantly degraded in Toledo, Talavera de la Reina, and Illescas.
