Coy "Denver" Parton, the older brother of country music icon Dolly Parton, has died at the age of 82.
He passed away on July 23, 2026, in Sevierville, Tennessee, according to Atchley Funeral Home.

Funeral services will be private, as confirmed by the funeral home. The cause of death has not been disclosed.
A Life Away from the Spotlight
Parton worked as a crane operator building bridges. He also lived as a homestead farmer and avid hunter.
Unlike several of his siblings who pursued music careers alongside Dolly, he chose a private life away from the public eye.

He was the third of twelve children born to Robert Lee Parton and Avie Lee Owens Parton.
His passing comes less than two years after the death of his older brother, David Parton, who died in November 2024 at age 82.
Parton was preceded in death by his wife, Carolyn Parton; his parents; and his brothers Larry, Randy, and Floyd Parton.

He is survived by his daughters Chris Parton and Jennifer Parton; his grandson Ian Parton; his brother Bobby; and his sisters Willadeene, Dolly, Stella, Cassie, Frieda, and Rachel.
