Prime Minister Andy Burnham has responded to a bride-to-be's concerns about heavy security at his new northern headquarters, No 10 North, in Manchester, where she is set to be married on August 21.
Sarah Burwin, 34, from Manchester, posted a TikTok video expressing worry that the security measures might “ruin the vibe” of her wedding day.

She asked Burnham to consider reducing security during her event.
Burnham replied succinctly with “Noted Saz,” acknowledging her concerns directly on social media. Her video has since reached over one million views, surprising Burwin herself.
“I laughed out loud at his response, adding: 'The fact he called me Saz as well. We're basically mates now,'” Burwin said.
She had been worried about whether the wedding would be canceled due to security but has since learned the ceremonies will continue as normal.
She also voiced concerns about how security might affect guests' ability to take photos and socialize outside the building.

Security Measures at No 10 North
The building, located in Heron House, also houses the Manchester Registry Office.
Security has been heightened with armed officers and metal fencing since Burnham’s first visit on July 24.
Burnham plans to work from No 10 North at least one day a week, with other cabinet ministers also expected to work there regularly.
Sacha Lord, chairman of the Night Time Industries Association and former colleague of Burnham, also engaged with Burwin's post, joking about throwing an afterparty with Burnham as DJs.

Burwin and her partner Fred have been preparing for the wedding since his proposal at Fletcher Moss in 2024.
