When she resisted reclining during the act, Usher requested staff to escort her back to the audience.
Following online backlash, Cheyenne explained that her lack of enthusiasm was because she was waiting for a different performer on the tour lineup.
"Yes I went on stage and no they don't tell you who, what, when, where," Cheyenne said in an interview.
She clarified her preference for co-headliner Chris Brown over Usher during the routine.
"Baby I wasn't going up there for Usher. I was going up for CHRIS and CHRIS ONLY!"
Cheyenne wrote on social media.
During the incident, Usher noticed her rigid posture while performing his 2004 track "Can U Handle It?" He addressed the crowd directly before ending the interaction.
"I don't think she wants to be on the stage," Usher said.

Cheyenne noted she attended the show with her mother after being upgraded to VIP seats by venue staff.
She added that she would not let online criticism ruin her concert experience.
The joint tour featuring Usher and Chris Brown faced public scrutiny after its April announcement due to legal issues surrounding Brown.
Chris Brown defended the tour despite online pushback.
"I know everyone who is a fan of me and USHER will definitely be in the building and it will be PACKED just like last year," Brown said.
Offstage, Usher is married to music executive Jennifer Goicoechea, Senior Vice President of A&R at Epic Records.
The couple married in 2024 and share two children, along with Usher's two older children from a previous marriage.
"I have an amazing partner, a support system. We have an amazing dynamic," Usher said of his wife.
