Jackson Holliday led the offense with hits in his first four at-bats, including a double in the second inning.
Coby Mayo and Leody Taveras each homered in the fifth, and pinch-hitter Tyler O'Neill added a solo shot in the sixth.
Baltimore took an early lead when Pete Alonso scored on a Taylor Ward groundout in the first inning.
The Orioles added two runs in the second on an RBI groundout by Jeremiah Jackson and an RBI single from Dylan Beavers.
Detroit responded with a run in the bottom of the second after Zach McKinstry tripled and scored on a sacrifice fly by Hao-Yu Lee.
Lee later extended his hitting streak to 12 games with an RBI single during a two-run fourth inning.
Tigers starter Keider Montero took the loss, allowing six runs (four earned) over 4.1 innings.
Orioles reliever Grant Wolfram earned the victory, and Rico Garcia pitched a scoreless ninth for his fifth save.
The loss dropped the Tigers to 50-57, while the Orioles improved to 52-55. The series continues Tuesday with Detroit's Troy Melton facing Baltimore's Dean Kremer.
