Alaska Airlines has announced a new seasonal flight route connecting Portland International Airport to Yampa Valley Regional Airport in Steamboat Springs, Colorado.
The service is set to begin in February 2027.

The route will operate twice weekly on Thursdays and Saturdays from February 11 to March 28, 2027, using Embraer 175 aircraft.
The carrier aims to provide Oregon travelers direct access to the popular winter resort town in the Rocky Mountains.
New Route Addresses Travel Demand
Alaska Airlines stated that the expansion follows market research indicating many Oregon residents previously drove to Seattle to access existing flights to the Yampa Valley region.
The new route offers a more convenient option for Oregon skiers and winter vacationers.

The airline currently operates flights to Steamboat Springs from Seattle and San Diego. The Portland addition strengthens its network to the Colorado ski destination.
Steamboat Springs, located about 150 miles northwest of Denver, has a long winter sports history.
The area began as a 19th-century settlement before opening its first formal ski resort in 1963.
