Actress Lacey Chabert has expressed interest in starring in a Southern-set musical project for the Hallmark Channel. She shared the idea while promoting her upcoming limited series.

"I think a musical would be really fun. I'm also from the South.

I'm really passionate about finding a great story set in the South," Chabert said.

Her co-star Scott Michael Foster quickly supported the concept, joking about drafting a script on short notice. Chabert also suggested an Easter-themed movie for the network.

Chabert's current project, "Paris is Always a Good Idea," premieres July 30 on Hallmark+. It is a six-episode limited series with weekly episodes through August 27.

"The thing I love though is that they keep evolving. and that's what I love about this series," Chabert said.

"It's a limited series. We have six episodes.

We get to delve into the story."

The series follows Chelsea, played by Chabert, as she travels across Europe to secure a business deal while revisiting past relationships based on a message from her late mother.

"I love that she gets to go back and look at these four relationships from 10 years prior in her life.

Then we also see a series of flash forwards that we're kind of not exactly sure what's going on.

It's a really interesting little mystery that unravels," Chabert said.

Foster described the immediate rapport among the cast during production.
