Purdue men's basketball improved to 2-0 on its Canadian summer exhibition tour after an 82-66 victory over Trinity Western University at Langley Events Centre in British Columbia on July 26, 2026.
The win followed a 102-63 defeat of the Vancouver Selects the previous evening as head coach Matt Painter continues to assess team depth.

Painter used heavy rotation, giving ten Boilermakers at least 17 minutes of playing time. Center Daniel Jacobsen led scoring with 14 points and added three blocks.
Redshirt freshman guard Antione West Jr. contributed 13 points, three steals, and four rebounds in 21 minutes.
The Boilermakers built their second-half lead behind defense, using consecutive steals near the five-minute mark of the third quarter to spark a 10-0 run.
Transfer forward Caden Pierce grabbed a team-high seven rebounds to support the frontcourt.
Painter praised the defensive intensity from his young perimeter players after the game.
"His ability to hawk the basketball is really going to help us," Painter said.
"He does a good job putting pressure on the ball, getting those steals, having active hands, and that's what we need from him."
Pierce, who transferred from Princeton and sat out last season, noted his role in guiding younger teammates during the tour.
"I'm a guy who's been in college basketball for three years. I know what's right.
I know what's wrong," Pierce said after Purdue's first exhibition match.
