The UK High Court has reconvened for a two-day hearing to address consequential matters following the dismissal of a phone hacking lawsuit brought by Prince Harry and six other prominent figures against Associated Newspapers Limited.
Justice Nicklin rejected the claims earlier this month in a 436-page ruling, stating that the legal strategy employed by the claimants was "not a permissible approach."

The lawsuit alleged that 97 published articles relied on information obtained through illegal methods, including landline tapping, voicemail interception, and deception.
Associated Newspapers Limited has reported that its accrued legal defense costs have already exceeded £50 million.
Co-claimants included Baroness Doreen Lawrence, Sir Elton John, David Furnish, Elizabeth Hurley, Sadie Frost, and Sir Simon Hughes.

Their lawyers argued that private investigators and journalists carried out the unlawful acts.
In a joint statement following the ruling, Prince Harry and Doreen Lawrence criticized the decision, calling it "a complete and obvious whitewash."
They added, "We came to court seeking justice and accountability. But we have received neither."

The current proceedings will determine the final allocation of legal fees and review formal requests for permission to appeal before concluding.
