She had publicly shared her journey with young-onset Alzheimer's disease on TikTok.

Luna passed away at approximately 1:15 p. m.
, surrounded by loved ones, according to family social media updates.
Diagnosed at age 48 after noticing cognitive symptoms two years earlier, she used her platform to advocate for health awareness and Canada's MAID program.
Originally planning to access the procedure in early August, Luna moved the date forward due to unexpectedly fast disease progression.
She experienced severe symptoms including night terrors, delusions, and rapid cognitive decline.

"It's a hard decision to make," Luna said. "Because I'm living in a body that doesn't feel comfortable, safe, good, nothing."
Her eldest daughter, Maya Findlay, shared tributes online expressing deep grief.
"I miss my mom in a way that feels like homesickness," Findlay said. "Like I just want to go home, but home was her."

Statistics Canada estimates roughly 750,000 Canadians live with dementia.
The Alzheimer Society of Canada reports about 28,000 individuals are affected by young-onset dementia nationwide.
