Argonaut Games has announced a remastered edition of Croc 2, titled Croc 2: Kingdom of the Gobbos, set to launch in the fourth quarter of 2026.
The game will be available on Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, and PC via Steam and GOG.

The remaster features modernized visuals, quality-of-life improvements, and restored development naming.
Players guide Croc through four villages and over 40 open-ended 3D levels to find his parents while confronting Baron Dante.
New gameplay additions include a triple jump, as well as mechanics for driving cars, speedboats, hang gliders, and airplanes.
Digital Museum and Behind-the-Scenes Content
A digital museum called Croc2pedia will offer behind-the-scenes materials, cut content, and interviews about the original development and remastering process.
This project follows the successful remaster of Croc: Legend of the Gobbos, which launched on modern systems in April 2025 and later received a Platinum Edition update.

Company leadership confirmed that the sequel remaster was greenlit due to strong market performance of the first game.
“We’ve made no secret of the fact that if Croc did well in the market, the obvious next project would be to remaster Croc 2,” said Mike Arkin, co-CEO of Argonaut Games.
“Croc’s successful return exceeded what we hoped for, and that made the decision easy.”
Arkin noted that Croc 2 was built on a different engine than the original, presenting unique remastering challenges, but early validation work proved successful.
