British tennis player Cameron Norrie ended his six-match ATP Tour losing streak on July 28, 2026, with a commanding victory over world No. 95 Aleksandar Kovacevic at the Mifel Tennis Open in Los Cabos, Mexico.

Norrie, ranked 39th, won 6-4, 6-1 in the first round, booking a Round of 16 clash against Australia's James Duckworth.

The 2021 tournament champion recovered from losing his opening service game before dominating the second set in just over 30 minutes.

Upcoming Match Against Duckworth

Duckworth, ranked 83rd globally, advanced after defeating qualifier Aidan Mayo in three sets.

The upcoming match marks the first ATP Tour meeting between the 30-year-old Norrie and 34-year-old Duckworth, who have combined for over 1,300 professional career matches.

Meanwhile at the Mubadala DC Open, fellow Briton Katie Boulter suffered a first-round elimination, losing 3-6, 6-2, 6-2 to world No. 67 Ashlyn Krueger.
