Paris Saint-Germain is pushing to sign Monaco winger Maghnes Akliouche, despite having multiple bids rejected.
The French champions recently saw a third improved offer worth $57 million (€50 million) turned down by Monaco, which values the player between $57 million and $80 million (€50–70 million).

Liverpool Enters the Race
Liverpool has also made an initial enquiry for Akliouche as manager Andoni Iraola looks to replace Mohamed Salah.
The club contacted Monaco early in the transfer window but has not advanced negotiations while exploring other options for wide positions.
Iraola publicly confirmed Liverpool's transfer priorities during a press conference in July 2026.
"A winger, for example - we definitely need to sign a winger," he said, emphasizing the need to strengthen squad depth after Salah's departure.
The manager noted that the club is evaluating market availability and costs.
"But there are other situations that we will have to analyse what the market gives you, what's the cost, how we also see the players we have," Iraola explained.

When asked about the exact number of targets needed, Iraola said it is difficult to specify while the market is open.
"You have to always be open to new options to improve the squad," he added.
Iraola highlighted that key positions require careful planning. "There are obvious situations that we know where we need to sign players.
A winger, for example - we definitely need to sign a winger," he reiterated, noting that financial factors and player recovery timelines influence decisions.
Addressing squad fitness, Iraola said, "We have some tricky positions where we have injured players that we trust but is still not the ideal situation.
So, it will depend on a lot of things."

Alongside incoming targets, Liverpool has finalized outgoing loans, sending defender Amara Nallo to HJK Helsinki and goalkeeper Armin Pecsi to TSV Hartberg.
