Genesis has launched its first global Magma model, the GV60 Magma, a high-performance electric crossover that aims to blend thrilling driving dynamics with the luxury and refinement expected from the Korean brand.
Priced from AU$130,000 (US$90,300) in Australia and US$69,950 in the US (plus destination), the GV60 Magma is positioned above the standard GV60 and the related Hyundai Ioniq 5 N.

Powertrain and Performance
The GV60 Magma shares its dual-motor powertrain with the Ioniq 5 N and Ioniq 6 N, producing a peak 641 hp (478 kW) and 582 lb-ft (790 Nm) of torque.
Genesis quotes a 0-100 km/h (62 mph) time of 3.4 seconds, and the car feels every bit as quick as that figure suggests.
A Boost button on the steering wheel adds an extra 40 hp and 37 lb-ft for 15-second bursts.
The Magma features simulated gear shifts with eight virtual ratios, delivering a kick through the chassis that enhances the driving experience.
The active sound design system mimics a six-cylinder engine revving to 9,000 rpm, with exterior speakers so others can hear it too.
Unlike the more extreme N models, the GV60 Magma offers fewer performance menus and is less configurable, underscoring its more refined focus.
Design and Interior
The GV60 Magma sits lower and wider than the standard model, with distinctive bumpers, forged 21-inch alloy wheels, and a rear spoiler.
Inside, it gains a 27-inch single screen housing the instrument cluster and infotainment display.
