Veteran forward Draymond Green has agreed to a one-year, $27.7 million deal to stay with the Golden State Warriors, according to ESPN.
The agreement was reached on July 28, 2026.

The four-time NBA champion will remain with the only franchise he has ever played for.
Green had previously declined his $27.7 million player option for the 2026-27 season to give Golden State financial flexibility in free agency.
The Warriors explored options to pursue free agent LeBron James and trade for Anthony Davis, but those contingency plans ultimately fell through.
As part of the new deal, Green waived an implicit no-trade clause while securing a 15% trade kicker.

Contract Structure and Team Outlook
The structure mirrors Green's prior contract and allows the Warriors room to execute potential trades in the future if necessary.
Golden State retains its core foundation under head coach Steve Kerr alongside Stephen Curry, Jimmy Butler, and Kristaps Porziņģis.
Green averaged 8.4 points, 5.5 rebounds, and 5.5 assists in 27.5 minutes per game last season.
