Starz has announced the premiere of its new British boxing crime drama "Fightland" for Friday, July 31, 2026.
The series is executive produced by Curtis "50 Cent" Jackson.

The show follows a former heavyweight champion as he navigates London's dangerous underworld after serving eight years in prison.
Cast and Characters
Howard Charles stars as Maduka "Duke" Kilroy, an ex-champion who returns to London with plans to dismantle a powerful drug empire.
He also seeks vengeance against those responsible for a personal tragedy.
Nicholas Pinnock plays the main antagonist Kingsley Marshall, a gang leader fighting for territorial dominance across London's criminal landscape.
Deborah Ayorinde portrays Joy Marshall, a woman caught within her husband's criminal network while quietly struggling for independence.
Creative Insights
Jackson drew historical connections between modern combat sports and ancient martial spectacles. "I think it goes all the way back to Rome," he said.
"It's the gladiators, it's our modern-day version of it."
He noted that the unique individual responsibility in combat sports creates a compelling dynamic for television audiences.
"It's the only sport that you can't pass anyone the ball," said Jackson.
Comparing classic boxing films to modern franchises, Jackson expressed a clear preference for Sylvester Stallone's original 1976 film over its 2015 spin-off.

"To me with Stallone, what he did in that period was so incredible because sometimes we gotta make it, we gotta come up with it ourselves and make it," he said.
