The Vanguard FTSE All-World UCITS ETF gained 1.06 percent to €162.56 on July 30, 2026, as stronger-than-expected European economic data helped counterbalance a slowdown in US growth.

US GDP expanded at an annualized rate of 1.5 percent in the second quarter, according to the Bureau of Economic Analysis.

That figure missed the 2.3 percent forecast, dragged down by shrinking government spending, softer exports, and reduced private investment.

In contrast, Eurostat's preliminary data showed the eurozone economy grew 0.4 percent in the same period, doubling consensus estimates.

Spain expanded 0.7 percent, while Germany posted 0.2 percent growth, providing a structural counterweight for the ETF, which holds 61.8 percent of its portfolio in US equities.

"The positive surprise effect from Europe acts as a buffer against weaker US data on days like this," noted the fund's managers.

Geography serves as a primary stabilizing factor when growth trajectories between major economies diverge, according to the fund's management team.

Shifting rate expectations also boosted sentiment after the lower US GDP print.

Investors speculated that softer growth could prompt the Federal Reserve to adopt a more accommodative monetary stance later this year if inflation remains contained.

Despite the rebound, structural concentration risks persist.

The top ten holdings account for 25.6 percent of net assets, led by Nvidia at 4.7 percent, Apple at 4.3 percent, and Alphabet at 3.8 percent.
