Convicted fraudster Pamela Gwinnett has been extradited from Tenerife to the UK, where she will face justice for stealing nearly £300,000 from an elderly pensioner.
The 63-year-old, known as the 'Black Widow', landed at Manchester Airport under armed escort on Friday, July 31, 2026.

Gwinnett had fled to Spain in April 2025 while awaiting trial, despite a judge denying her request to alter bail conditions.
She was convicted in her absence at Preston Crown Court in October 2025 and sentenced to six years in prison.
Abuse of Trust
Gwinnett manipulated 89-year-old retired accountant Joan Green during the Covid pandemic.
She took Lasting Power of Attorney to siphon off Green's life savings for personal luxuries like Botox and fine dining.
Green was kept in neglectful conditions at her home in Chorley, Lancashire, before her death in 2022.
During sentencing, Judge Michael Maher condemned her actions and evasion of justice.
"You have treated this process as you did Joan Green with utter contempt," said Judge Maher.

He added, "I sincerely hope that Ms. Gwinnett is extradited back to the UK to serve this sentence for these egregious offences."
The extradition was coordinated by the National Crime Agency and Spanish Police.
PC Georgia Loughton, officer in charge of the investigation, expressed satisfaction with her return.
"I am pleased that Pamela Gwinnett will be returned to the UK where she will serve her sentence," she said.
Loughton highlighted the emotional toll on the victim, noting that Green was isolated from her family and denied seeing her grandchildren.
"Sadly, Joan passed away in 2022, however we hope that the return of Pamela to the UK to serve her sentence gives Joan's family a sense of justice," she added.

Gwinnett is scheduled to appear at Preston Crown Court, where she also faces a court order to repay £300,000 under the Proceeds of Crime Act.
