Axel Rudakubana, 19, has been charged with four offences involving assaults on emergency workers and possession of an offensive weapon while detained at HMP Belmarsh, police said.
The alleged incidents occurred between May and October 2025, and he is set to appear at Westminster Magistrates Court remotely on 11 September.

Rudakubana was convicted in January 2025 and given a 52-year life sentence for the murders of Elsie Dot Stancombe, seven, Bebe King, six, and Alice da Silva Aguiar, nine, alongside injuries to eight other children and two adults in July 2024.
Metropolitan Police said the charges cover separate incidents on 6 May 2025, 8 May 2025, 26 June 2025, and 28 October 2025 at HMP Belmarsh.
Rudakubana was charged with assault on an emergency worker on 6 May 2025, as well as attempted grievous bodily harm on 8 May 2025.
He was further charged with unauthorised possession of an offensive weapon in prison on 26 June 2025.

Police also charged Rudakubana with assault on an emergency worker on 28 October 2025.
According to the Metropolitan Police, Rudakubana was charged on 28 July and will appear before Westminster Magistrates Court via videolink on 11 September.
Separately, the Ministry of Justice confirmed on 23 July that Rudakubana had been transferred from HMP Belmarsh to Broadmoor, a high-security psychiatric hospital in Berkshire.

Broadmoor is described as a secure psychiatric facility where offenders can be held following independent clinical assessment under the Mental Health Act, with officials saying the transfer does not change his 52-year sentence.
