A former employee has filed a $50,000 lawsuit against Nelson and Claudia Peltz, parents of model Nicola Peltz Beckham, over an alleged dog attack at their residence.
Joy Ransom claims the incident occurred on December 23, 2025, while she was preparing Christmas gifts at the couple's home.

The attack allegedly happened in the presence of Nicola Peltz Beckham.
According to legal documents obtained by People, the lawsuit was filed on July 10.
Ransom asserts that the family knew of the dog's aggressive tendencies but failed to control or restrain the animal, nor provide proper behavioral training.
Ransom maintains she was not negligent and suffered physical injuries and medical expenses.

She seeks damages for bodily injury, mental pain, disfigurement, and lost earning capacity, and requests a jury trial.
Second lawsuit involving same dog
This filing is the second legal action against the couple involving their rescue dog, Houdini, within two years.
In December 2024, another former employee alleged that Houdini lunged at her, causing her to fall and injure herself.

Ransom cited that incident in her filing, claiming the couple failed to report the dog's dangerous propensities to animal control or obtain a registration certificate.
