The Montreal Alouettes defeated the Ottawa Redblacks 34-13 on Friday, July 31, 2026, in Ottawa.
The loss extended Ottawa's losing streak to seven games, marking their worst start since rejoining the CFL in 2014.

Montreal improved to 7-1 on the season, converting all four of their red-zone opportunities into scores.
Ottawa, meanwhile, managed just one touchdown on five trips inside the 20-yard line.
Redblacks head coach Ryan Dinwiddie stressed the need to break the streak. "It's what it is, it's reality," he said.
"We've got to find a way to get a win. Just set the focus on 1-0."
Ottawa quarterback Jake Maier passed for 311 yards but lamented the offense's struggles near the goal line.
"The story of it for me was really poor execution inside the five-yard line," Maier said, adding that the performance was "to an embarrassing level."
Alouettes quarterback Davis Alexander completed 22 of 30 passes for 420 yards and three touchdowns.
Tyson Philpot caught nine passes for 184 yards, and Tyler Snead added eight receptions for 174 yards and a score.

Alouettes head coach Jason Maas praised his team's effort on a short week. "I'm extremely proud of this team," he said.
"I know how hard it is to go on the road on a short week."
Philpot credited Alexander's efficiency. "He finds a way to get the ball whenever we're open," Philpot said.
"We play Alouettes football."
Ottawa's defense also struggled to contain Montreal's offense. Redblacks defensive back CJ Reavis said the team must improve.
"Whatever we've been doing isn't good enough," he said. "We've got to get some wins."
The Alouettes will host the Edmonton Elks on Saturday, Aug. 8, while the Redblacks travel to face the Saskatchewan Roughriders on Friday, Aug.
