The US State Department announced that 27 passport agencies nationwide will begin offering limited-edition passports featuring Donald Trump starting next month.
The documents celebrate the 250th anniversary of the founding of the United States.

Previously, the commemorative travel documents were exclusively available to in-person applicants at the Washington DC passport office.
The federal government plans to issue over 250,000 of these documents across the country, officially referring to them as "patriot passports."
Trump is the first living president to be pictured in a US travel document.
The passport features his stern portrait alongside a gold imprimatur of his signature on an interior page.
Design and Availability
The physical design includes several distinct modifications from standard passports.
The front cover displays "United States of America" in bold gold lettering at the top and "Passport" at the bottom, reversing the layout of the current standard issue.
A small gold laminate American flag with the number 250 encircled by stars is placed at the bottom of the back cover.

Special one-day application events will launch on August 8 at passport offices in Centennial, Colorado; Chicago; Dallas; Detroit; New Orleans; New York; and Stamford, Connecticut.
The rollout will later expand to additional locations.
Applicants seeking the limited-edition version must apply in person on specified dates detailed on the agency website, while standard passport processing occurs on separate days.
The release coincides with other efforts placing Trump's image and name on official government items.
The US Mint has begun producing a gold-finished commemorative coin featuring his portrait to mark the nation's founding, alongside ongoing efforts to add his signature to new US paper currency.
Standard US passports currently feature depictions of Mount Rushmore containing the likenesses of George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, Theodore Roosevelt, and Abraham Lincoln.

They also depict historical landmarks including the Statue of Liberty, the Liberty Bell, and Independence Hall, along with quotes from past presidents and Martin Luther King Jr.
