President Donald Trump has raised more than $800 million during his second term through an aggressive fundraising operation targeting major corporations and wealthy donors, according to a report from The Wall Street Journal.
The effort has generated hundreds of millions of dollars toward political operations, the White House ballroom project, and his planned presidential library.
Fundraiser Meredith O'Rourke leads the operation, frequently contacting executives following their meetings with the president.
Corporate Contributions
Corporate contributions include approximately $25 million from Apple for the White House ballroom venture, along with $10 million from Microsoft and $5 million from Amazon.
Chevron also contributed millions after being asked for $50 million.
Donor events feature candlelit dinners at the White House, Mar-a-Lago, or Trump's Charlottesville winery costing $1 million per seat.
Guests have included OpenAI CEO Sam Altman, Pfizer's chief executive, and donor Timothy Mellon.
Legal Extension Request
Separately, Trump requested a one-month extension until September 9 to ask the U. S.
Supreme Court to review the dismissal of his 2022 racketeering lawsuit against Hillary Clinton and the Democratic National Committee.
The 11th U. S.
Circuit Court of Appeals previously upheld the dismissal and nearly $1 million in court sanctions against Trump and his attorney Alina Habba.
