Essex Police have confiscated 13 luxury cars following reports of dangerous and anti-social driving on the M11 motorway.

The vehicles, which included Lamborghinis, Audi R8s, a Ferrari, and a Porsche, were part of a convoy traveling northbound on the M11 after joining from London.

Members of the public alerted police around 16:20 BST on Tuesday, prompting officers to intercept the vehicles at junction 8, Birchanger Green Interchange near Bishop's Stortford.

Enforcement and Warnings

Thirteen warnings for anti-social driving were issued, and all vehicles were seized by police.

Sgt Will Willsher of Essex Police said, "The behaviour reported to us was not only anti-social but potentially placed other road users at serious risk, especially on a busy motorway during peak travel times."

Witnesses reported seeing the cars accelerate rapidly before slowing abruptly, with drivers braking heavily, bunching together, and disrupting traffic flow.

Some vehicles allegedly used the hard shoulder to overtake other traffic.

Police have launched an ongoing investigation and are appealing for anyone with additional information to come forward.
