A 49-year-old woman died Thursday morning after her electric scooter collided with a Tesla on Manhattan's Upper West Side, according to police.
The victim, identified as Doreen Meyers, was riding northbound in the bike lane on Amsterdam Avenue near West 60th Street around 10:35 a.

m. when she hit a westbound 2023 Tesla, NYPD officials said.
Emergency responders took Meyers to Mount Sinai Morningside Hospital in critical condition, where she was pronounced dead.
The Tesla driver, a 34-year-old man, stayed at the scene. No arrests have been made, and the NYPD Collision Investigation Squad is investigating.

The crash is among several fatal scooter accidents in the city recently.
