Former Formula 1 team principal Eric Boullier has been appointed as the new Chief Executive Officer of WRC Promoter.
Landmark Deal for Rallying
The Fédération Internationale de l'Automobile (FIA) described the acquisition as the largest commercial deal in the history of both racing series.
The new ownership replaces previous shareholders Red Bull and German investment firm KW25, following a tender process initiated by the FIA in August 2025.
The tender attracted interest from across Europe, America, and the Middle East.
Alongside the transaction, the FIA confirmed the creation of a new Growth Fund aimed at driving grassroots participation and expanding championship development worldwide.
This comes ahead of major technical regulation updates scheduled for 2027.
FIA President Mohammed Ben Sulayem called it "the deal of the century for rallying" and highlighted unprecedented levels of investment.
He said the deal guarantees long-term strategic alignment as the championship prepares to finalize its 2027 calendar and updated sporting frameworks.
Ben Sulayem thanked FIA Deputy President for Sport Malcolm Wilson and his team for their negotiation work.
He expressed confidence in the incoming commercial management team and noted rallying's personal significance to him.
