Michelin-starred chef Adam Handling has spoken out after an incident at his pub in Cornwall, where visiting guests allowed their dogs to attack chickens and children destroyed dozens of fertilised eggs.
The attack took place during a Sunday lunch service at the Tartan Fox pub near Newquay.

According to Handling, the dogs killed several chickens, and children smashed between 30 and 40 fertilised eggs against a nearby tree.
Despite staff efforts to nurse the injured birds back to health over several days, multiple chickens died.
Handling had previously described the poultry as his favorite feature of the restaurant.
Chef's Response
In an Instagram video, Handling expressed his frustration and condemned the behaviour. "This behaviour is completely unacceptable.
Our chickens are part of the Tartan Fox family and are here for everyone to enjoy and care for.

The selfish actions of a few people have caused unnecessary suffering and, heartbreakingly, the loss of some of our girls," he said.
He also thanked his team for their response. "To my team, who did everyone they could to nurse them back to health, thank you.
Your care, compassion and hard work mean the world," Handling added.
Following the damage, the establishment announced plans to implement updated security protocols.

These include installing surveillance cameras, motion sensors in the coop, and additional signage throughout the venue grounds.
