Prince Harry and six other prominent figures are awaiting a High Court decision in London regarding substantial legal fees following their unsuccessful lawsuit against Daily Mail publisher Associated Newspapers Limited.
High Court judge Mr Justice Nicklin will issue a written ruling in August 2026 to determine the interim payment amount and assess overall costs after a two-day hearing concluded this week.

Associated Newspapers Limited stated its total legal expenses exceed 34 million pounds, prompting the publisher to request an immediate interim payment exceeding 9.9 million pounds from the claimants.
Legal representatives for the claimant group, which includes Sir Elton John and Baroness Doreen Lawrence, argued the requested amount was excessive and proposed an initial payment of just over 7.9 million pounds.
The underlying lawsuit alleging unlawful information-gathering was dismissed on July 7, 2026, after four years of legal proceedings culminating in an 11-week trial.
