The 2026 Glorious Goodwood meeting came to a close on August 1 with a thrilling edition of the historic Stewards' Cup.

A field of 28 runners contested the six-furlong handicap, a race first held in 1840.

Far Above Dream went off as the 7-1 favorite in the feature event.

However, the large field offered plenty of long-shot opportunities, with some entries priced at 50-1 or higher.

Supporting Stakes Action

The supporting card featured several key stakes races alongside the main handicap.

Al Aasy aimed for a hat-trick in the Glorious Stakes, while Waardah and Danielle returned to contest the Group Two Lillie Langtry Stakes for fillies and mares.

Televised coverage also included the Chalice Stakes at Newmarket's July course and the Summer Cup Handicap at Thirsk.

The day's racing began with a stayers' handicap before the feature afternoon lineup.
