Mitsubishi has released a fresh teaser for the upcoming Pajero, focusing on the ladder-frame chassis and suspension setup.

The reborn flagship SUV is set to debut on September 2.

The company confirmed the Pajero will borrow its bones from the Triton pickup, but with model-specific tweaks.

The chassis is engineered to deliver high road-holding performance while suppressing unwanted body movement and vibrations over rough or uneven roads.

Comfort and Control

The aim was comfort on long hauls, fitting the cross-country brief of the SUV.

The Pajero will also feature Super-All Wheel Control (S-AWC), a vehicle dynamics system already available in high-spec Triton trims.

Drivers can choose between RWD, full-time 4WD, a locked center differential, and low range with a locked diff.

The system runs seven selectable Terrain Drive Modes: Normal, Eco, Gravel, Snow, Mud, Sand, and Rock.

Mitsubishi promises "safe, secure driving across a wide range of weather and road conditions, while also offering a refined, comfortable ride."

Teaser Campaign and Nameplate

This latest look continues a steady drip of teasers on a dedicated website counting down to the autumn reveal.

Mitsubishi has already shown glimpses of the exterior and interior, including the boxy silhouette, T-shaped LEDs, and a digital take on the dashboard-mounted multi-information gauge pod.

The automaker also held a private customer preview, lifting the covers for a select few.
