Bugatti is keeping the W16 alive with yet another bespoke creation.
The French marque has started teasing a new one-off model from its exclusive Programme Solitaire division, and it will feature the legendary 8.0-liter quad-turbocharged W16 engine.

The teaser comes ahead of Monterey Car Week, where the car is expected to premiere later this month.
This new model follows in the footsteps of the Bugatti Brouillard and the Veyron-inspired FKP Hommage, both built by the same division.
A Nod to the Tourbillon and Bolide
The first of two short teaser videos shows the cover of the W16 engine on a new Bugatti model.
A second teaser reveals the car's front grille, which is noticeably wider than the Chiron's and more reminiscent of the new Tourbillon.
This aligns with previous reports that the one-off will take design inspiration from the Tourbillon and the track-only Bolide.

The car is expected to share its chassis and powertrain with the Chiron, but with more outlandish aerodynamic components.
Bugatti has so far launched two one-offs from its Solitaire division. The Brouillard debuted at last year's Monterey Car Week, combining elements from the Chiron and Mistral.
The FKP Hommage, unveiled about six months later, is a modern tribute to the Veyron powered by the Chiron's more powerful engine.
If the latest creation indeed blends Tourbillon and Bolide elements, it should be a showstopper.
Meanwhile, Bugatti is nearing the end of Tourbillon development, with deliveries set to begin later this year.

Unlike the Veyron and Chiron, the Tourbillon uses an 8.3-liter naturally-aspirated V16 from Cosworth, paired with three electric motors for a combined 1,775 hp.
