Audi's next-generation RS6 Avant has been spotted testing again, this time in the Austrian Alps, after a previous prototype crashed at the Nürburgring.
The new prototype wears yellow warning stickers indicating hybrid hardware, confirming the electrified powertrain.

Rumors suggest the RS6 may use a twin-turbo V6 hybrid setup producing around 740 hp (750 PS).
That would place it above the BMW M5's 717 hp (727 PS) and well ahead of the RS5's 630 hp (639 PS).
Design and Details
The prototype features massive 20-spoke wheels and swollen fenders, with vents in the front arches to manage heat.
The car's curb weight is estimated at around 5,500 lbs (2,500 kg), and quattro all-wheel drive remains standard.

Earlier speculation pointed to a plug-in hybrid V8 borrowed from the Bentley Continental GT Speed, but newer reports favor the V6.
The RS6 is expected to debut in spring 2027, with European sales later that year and US deliveries following.
For the first time in 15 years, the RS6 will be offered as both a fastback sedan and an Avant wagon.

Pricing is expected to be similar to the BMW M5, which starts at just over $130,000 including destination.
