Ford has announced four new recalls, and three of them involve the F-150.
The largest campaign covers 223,472 F-150s from the 2023-2027 model years.
Those trucks may have fuel tanks that are not properly secured, so the tanks can leak or detach from the vehicle while driving.
Ford learned of the problem in July and blames front fuel tank strap T-slots that were not correctly inserted into the frame rail during assembly.
The automaker has received 16 warranty claims tied to the issue.
Dealers will inspect and replace the fuel tank straps as necessary, with notifications going out later this month.
Transit Vans and Two More F-150 Recalls
A second recall covers 1,945 Transit vans from the 2026 and 2027 model years.
Their wireless seat belt reminder system may not properly show when rear passengers are unbuckled.
The issue surfaced in July and was traced to a Magna End of Line test device whose status check command overlapped with the wireless seat belt reminder's pre-activated polling signal.
Ford says the problem caused a permanent error state and is aware of two field reports.
Dealers will inspect the rear seat belts and replace the buckles as needed, but a fix is not yet available, so affected vehicles are under a delivery hold.
A third recall affects 37 F-150s from 2026 that were built with incorrect rear axle tail bearings.
