The St. Louis Blues made significant moves during the first round of the 2026 NHL Draft on Friday, reshaping their roster through trades and selections.
According to reports, the Blues acquired 23-year-old center Mason McTavish from the Anaheim Ducks in exchange for two first-round draft picks.
Despite trading away those picks, St. Louis still managed to select centers Tynan Lawrence at No. 11 and Maddox Dagenais at No. 16, bolstering their depth down the middle.

The Detroit Red Wings traded young goaltender Sebastian Cossa to Utah after he was surpassed by Michal Postava in the AHL playoffs, clearing the path for Trey Augustine in Detroit.
Utah, operating as the Mammoth, moved up two spots to select 6-foot-5 power forward Ethan Belchetz at the 17th overall position.
The Nashville Predators took skilled forward Wyatt Cullen at No. 10, while the Philadelphia Flyers chose 6-foot-7 defenseman Maksim Sokolovskii with the 27th pick.
