Good Morning Britain host Susanna Reid drew attention during a live ITV broadcast on Tuesday after making a comment about fellow presenter Cat Deeley's outfit.
The remark occurred during a scheduled live crossover segment with the This Morning studio, as reported by the Mirror.
Before the transition, Reid and co-host Ed Balls interviewed actress Vanessa Williams regarding her role in The Devil Wears Prada musical.
Reid questioned the actress about her viewership of the game show Tipping Point.
"I love Tipping Point!" said Vanessa Williams.
The morning show host acknowledged the response before transferring the broadcast to the daytime presenters.
"That's good you said that," remarked Reid.
Reid then pointed toward the camera to address the incoming hosts, Ben Shephard and Cat Deeley.
"Ben Shephard is right there, waiting to hear that you watch Tipping Point every day," added Reid.
Shephard welcomed the praise from the musical actress from the This Morning studio sofa.
"Vanessa, lovely to see you. Sending lots of love!
Thank you for being such a big fan," said Shephard.
Reid then made a playful remark regarding Deeley's off-the-shoulder attire during the warm weather.
"It's so hot, Cat's dress is falling off!" said Reid.
Shephard quickly intervened with a joke about the fashion choice.
"Yes, it's supposed to be," joked Shephard.
Deeley immediately provided a clarification about the style of her garment.
"It's a one shoulder number," clarified Deeley.
Shephard then proceeded to introduce the scheduled segments for the daytime program.
"Shall we tell you what's coming up? We're going to be finding out about the viral ice cream makers that you can get.
Are they worth the hype? This one certainly is," said Shephard.
Deeley tied her outfit choice back into the segment topics regarding the summer heat.
"Also, staying with the heat. How do you stop yourself becoming a sweaty mess in the hot weather.
A one shoulder helps me! Dr Zoe has the sweat solutions you need," added Deeley.
In a separate segment of the same broadcast, audiences expressed frustration over extensive coverage concerning Prince Harry's visit to London.
Buckingham Palace confirmed the Duke of Sussex would not reside at the palace, despite claims from his representatives that an invitation had been accepted.
