British wheelchair tennis stars Alfie Hewett and Gordon Reid have advanced to the Wimbledon doubles semifinals after a commanding performance at the All England Club on Wednesday, July 8, 2026.

The top seeds needed only 63 minutes to dispatch Dutch opponents Tom Egberink and Maarten Ter Hofte 6-1, 6-0 during a sweltering morning session.

According to the BBC, the victory launches their bid for a seventh Wimbledon wheelchair doubles title together, after losing last year's final to Martin de la Puente and Ruben Spaargaren.

Next Opponents and Other British Results

Hewett and Reid will next face Frenchman Stephane Houdet and China's Ji Zhenxu for a place in Saturday's final.

In the quad singles division, Great Britain's Andy Lapthorne also progressed, beating Argentina's Gonzalo Enrique Lazarte 7-5, 6-2 to earn a semifinal spot.

However, fellow British competitor Greg Slade was eliminated from the tournament following a loss in his respective match.
