Kamu Kirk won the Week 3 Head of Household competition on Big Brother Season 28, following the eviction of Rome Seymour by a 12-1 vote on July 23, 2026.
Kirk nominated Lyric Medeiros, LaTrice Verrett, and Mallory Aurichio for eviction as part of a strategy to target Jason De Puy.
The week's nominations came after Dee Valladares won Week 1 HOH and Rick Devens won Week 2 HOH, leading to the evictions of Ashley Trail and Rome Seymour.
Fifteen houseguests remain.
Kirk's Strategic Discussions
Before the nomination ceremony, Kirk pulled Medeiros into the private suite to explain his plan to use her as a pawn.
"I am good but we have to have a little bit of a tough conversation but I need you to trust me," Kirk said.
Kirk explained that his original nomination plans changed after consulting with other houseguests.
"I had conversations with everyone yesterday.
There are some people who I am looking to put up on the block and for the Veto Competition, the original three I was planning on putting up I had a change of plans on," Kirk said.
Kirk added that his ideal pawn was someone the house would not vote out, and he promised to play the Veto competition on her behalf.
Medeiros expressed dissatisfaction despite Kirk's assurances.
"I appreciate you telling me this. I would never want to go up on the block.
If I were in your position I wouldn't do that to you," Medeiros said.
Kirk reassured Medeiros she was safe due to a lack of trustworthy options.
Medeiros then suggested another target for the block.
Following his talk with Medeiros, Kirk met with Verrett to question her game alliances with Seymour, Angela Murray, Dee Valladares, and Haley Thogmartin.
"Not Hayley. We talked about bringing something together but nothing was solidified," Verrett said.
Kirk noted that while they had a good personal connection, they lacked a formal game alliance.
"The thing I have to consider is that you were the last person to talk game with me," Kirk said.
Kirk emphasized that Verrett was having strategic discussions with other houseguests rather than with him.
Verrett defended her position by stating she assumed Kirk was already aligned with Devens, Valladares, Murray, Drew Campbell, and Thogmartin.
"I have to get in where I fit it," Verrett said.
Kirk outlined his objective to backdoor a strong competitor who had previously saved himself.
"We have to win the Veto because there is a threat in the house who is very good at competitions who saved himself last night," Kirk said.
In a conversation with Aurichio, Kirk brought up reports that she had targeted him, Chuk Anyanwu, and Thogmartin.
"Let me start off by saying it is going to be a little bit of a difficult conversation," Kirk said.
Kirk noted that multiple houseguests reported she had mentioned his name.
Aurichio denied targeting Kirk and claimed she was focused on eliminating former Survivor contestants.
"Really? I legitimately haven't.
I swear," Aurichio said.
Aurichio then offered her true target preferences.
"Can this stay between us? I would put up Devens, Dee and Jason," Aurichio said.
"I want the Survivor players gone."
After Kirk brought up Barrett Pfeiffer, Aurichio confronted Pfeiffer in the storage room regarding the rumor.
"I am going up," Aurichio said.
Pfeiffer claimed he was unaware of the allegations.
Aurichio maintained her innocence.
"I swear on my life I never said that," Aurichio said.
Big Brother Season 28 airs Wednesdays, Thursdays, and Sundays at 8 p. m.
