Social media star and labor nurse Jen Hamilton has publicly detailed the alleged infidelity and emotional struggles that led to her separation from husband Brian Hamilton after nearly 15 years of marriage.
In a series of video updates shared on July 26, 2026, the influencer disclosed that her husband conducted an alleged second life while she worked hospital shifts.
“While I was at the hospital, taking care of people, he found the time to have a whole other life,” Hamilton said.
She expressed deep emotional distress while attempting to provide clear context directly to her online audience regarding the marital breakdown.
“As someone who’s never even passionately kissed anyone else in my entire life, this has broken me beyond comprehension,” she added.
Hamilton explained her decision to address the private matter publicly, aiming to eliminate secrets surrounding the situation as part of her personal healing journey.
“I’m done being people’s PR manager.
My kids know, everybody in my orbit knows, so I’m just going to give you the nitty gritty details so it can give you enough information to be, like, ‘OK, I get it,’” she said.
She noted that maintaining transparency prevents further speculation and helps her manage the complex emotional toll on her family.
“If you don’t want me to talk about this stuff … maybe don’t do it, or don’t do it while you’re married to, like, a super public person who talks about their pubes on the internet,” Hamilton said.
Hamilton further revealed a lack of intimacy in the relationship, which forced her to suppress her personal needs throughout their marriage.
“He didn’t ever really have much interest in me in that way. So I repressed my own natural human desires down to nothing,” she said.
She claimed an individual associated with her husband reached out directly to discuss the situation, expressing surprise over her large social media presence.
“A direct quote I got was, ‘I knew about you. He talked about you all the time.
But I didn’t know you had so many followers,’” Hamilton said.
Despite physical affection diminishing over time, Hamilton maintained that she remained faithful throughout the entirety of their relationship.
“I’ve never ever in my life told this man a lie.
Even when I was getting next-to-no physical affection whatsoever, I would not in a million years look at another guy like that,” she said.
She reflected on the openness of her communication, stating that remaining completely transparent offers her a path toward recovery.
“Secrets and hiding are what I believe made all this possible so the way I’m dealing with it is by not having any secrets,” Hamilton said.
Seeking Support and Healing
In earlier updates from July 21, 2026, Hamilton shared that she took active steps toward recovery by seeking dedicated counseling services.
“I literally joined a support group that I’m going to be joining tonight,” she said.
She highlighted the importance of finding community support during life transitions to ensure she does not feel isolated.
“Just for what I’m specifically going through. Because I know that I’m not alone,” Hamilton said.
The disclosure follows months of online speculation.
On social media text overlays, Hamilton reflected on her long loyalty alongside her professional achievements, such as becoming a New York Times best-selling author.
“Me crying for weeks about a man I was loyal to for 15 years who wanted everyone but me,” she said.
She added further empowering text updates to remind herself of her self-worth as a successful author and mother of two sons, Ellis and Luke.
“A #1 NYT best selling author with the phattest a–,” Hamilton said.
She emphasized her inner strength during the difficult transition through concise statements.
“I am not worthless,” she said.
The initial split was formally announced on June 15 through a joint statement posted on social media, expressing mutual pain and a shared commitment to co-parenting.
“This comes with enormous pain for the both of us but also gratitude for the 15 years of shared history, love, and friendship,” the statement read.
The statement detailed their decision to prioritize their family's health above all else.
“What we are committed to is loving each other well through this transition and placing the wellbeing of the family we created at the center,” it said.
Earlier emotional posts recorded immediately following the separation captured the overwhelming nature of the initial days.
“Day 1: absolutely devastated. Please don’t try to reach out to anybody on my behalf.
That would make everything so much worse for me,” Hamilton said.
She asked her audience for space to process the heartbreak privately.
“Please just let me grieve. My heart is absolutely shattered.
‘He broke my heart, but I still love him with all the pieces.’
I just want the healed version of myself to come tell me that it’s gonna be okay,” she said.
Hamilton hoped to look back on the painful period from a place of emotional recovery in the future.
“I need me in a year and me in five years to tell me that I’m not gonna feel like this forever.
I feel dumb making this video, but I know someday that girl that I need right now can look back at this and see how far we’ve come.
God it hurts so bad,” she said.
Her son Luke asked if she would continue crying continuously, to which Hamilton addressed followers directly in comments.
“I’ve just never been enough for him,” she said.
Following intense reactions online, Hamilton urged followers not to send negativity toward her estranged husband.
“The situation is so complex. We both are hurting, broken people.
And I love him so much.
Please send love and healing vibes his way but do not reach out or talk bad about him.
It’s my fault for bringing it here. I was just hurting and looking for comfort,” she said.
Her memoir Birth Vibes reached top bestseller lists in May 2026, though Hamilton noted her promotional efforts were disrupted by personal stress.
“I hit #1 [on the New York Times] Best Seller List and then an undercover OPP in my life hijacked this special time in my life with some bulls*** so I couldn’t even market the book I had worked so hard on for the last few years,” she said.
She later resumed book promotion to reconnect with her reading audience.
“I’m back.
This is me making up for all that lost time the best/only way I know how,” Hamilton said.
Hamilton described the broad appeal of her book, which details her extensive healthcare career experience.
“[Birth Vibes] is really good.
It’s for pregnant people, moms, dads, sisters, nurses, doulas, doctors, midwives, or anyone who loves stories of human compassion,” she said.
The separation announcement was jointly written without automated tools, highlighting that the decision stemmed from a need for space rather than a lack of affection.
“Yes, we are separating,” Hamilton said.
The former couple clarified that the split was aimed at facilitating individual growth.
“This comes with enormous pain for the both of us but also gratitude for the 15 years of shared history, love, and friendship.
What we are committed to is loving each other well through this transition and placing the wellbeing of the family we created at the center,” they said.
They elaborated on the necessity of physical separation for mental health.
“We are hoping our paths diverging in physical location will make space and room for mental healing for the other.
We still are committed to being a team. We even wrote this together (and without chatgpt).
We both want to be very clear. This wasn’t about falling out of love.
That’s why this is so devastating.
It was about recognizing that sometimes the most loving thing you can do is give someone space to figure out complex things.
And that’s exactly what we are doing,” they said.
Due to emotional strain, Hamilton temporarily stepped back from nursing bedside duties on June 29, 2026.
“My patients do not deserve the mental state that I would bring to the bedside right now. One moment, I’m OK.
The next moment, I’m not OK,” she said.
She expressed well-wishes for her estranged husband's future self-improvement.
“Even after everything that has happened, I have no animosity, no ill will. I want him to find himself,” Hamilton said.
She committed to supporting his growth while prioritizing her own well-being.
“I want him to be the bestest version of himself that he’s ever been. I’m gonna be his biggest cheerleader as he is on that journey,” she said.
She emphasized her goal of demonstrating strength and accountability to her children.
“I’m also going to be my biggest cheerleader.
I am going to model for my children what it means to have healthy relationships, healthy self-worth and allowing those that we love the very most in this world to accept and embrace the gift that is accountability and consequence for the decisions that we make in this life,” Hamilton said.
Addressing the acute grief of the split, Hamilton reflected on the intense emotional hardship.
“There were a few moments I didn’t know if I was going to live, OK?
As you find out new information, that feeling of not being able to live gets pretty strong,” she said.
She cited coping tools like meditation, mentorship, medication, social connections, and music for her recovery.
“The stuff that is going on in your life, you did not ask for. You didn’t ask for any of this stuff.
But not only are you taking what has been shoved up your butt, but you’re also doing life.
Because you have to,” Hamilton said.
Hamilton reaffirmed her resilience despite ongoing challenges.
“You may be able to distract me from my joy [but] you cannot have it,” she said.
She also shared positive updates regarding redecorating her living space with floral wallpaper.
“One thing I’ve enjoyed is feminizing my house,” Hamilton said.
Hamilton addressed headline coverage surrounding her private life during a June 30 update.
“Why is it that everything sad I say gotta be news?” she said.
She offered a humorous alternative headline to shift focus away from salacious reports.
“How about, ‘Jen Hamilton’s ass won’t quit — and neither will she?’” Hamilton said.
On July 22, 2026, Hamilton launched a merchandise line titled "The Sisterhood of Solidarity" to assist women undergoing major life changes.
“One thing I have recognized through this whole process is that I am so fortunate to be able to get out of a situation that I didn’t need to be in because I had the resources to do so,” she said.
She stressed that financial limitations prevent many women from leaving bad circumstances.
“So many women do not have that,” Hamilton said.
All proceeds from the collection are slated for charities aiding vulnerable women.
“One thing I love to do is take something terrible that is happening and turn it into something good for other people,” she said.
