Indian musical acts Banjaare and GV Prakash Kumar have released promotional tracks for the upcoming film Spider-Man: Brand New Day, which arrives in Indian theaters on July 30, 2026.
The indie duo Banjaare, known for their hit single "Bairan," dropped the Haryanvi song "Barsaat" on July 28.
The track was created in partnership with Sony Pictures Entertainment India and Sony Music India.
"Barsaat" explores Peter Parker's grief after the memory-erasing events of Spider-Man: No Way Home.
The three-minute music video combines original performance footage with scenes from the new film's trailer and past franchise moments.
Brothers Sumit and Anuj, the duo behind Banjaare, composed the piece during a period of personal heartbreak. "Barsaat is incredibly close to our hearts.
We wrote it during a phase when we were navigating our own heartbreak and personal struggles," they said.
Fans reacted positively to the regional collaboration on social media.
One user wrote, "I'm so surprised and happy seeing an indie regional artist collabing with a franchise like Spider-Man.
Props to you, man. Hard work does pay off."
Another listener commented, "Marvel created Spider-Man. Barsaat gave him a soul."
A third fan added, "So glad to see Indian music collab with the OG Spider-Man/Marvel."
In a separate initiative on July 27, composer-actor GV Prakash Kumar launched an energetic Tamil anthem featuring vocals by Vengayo and choreography by Sandy Master.
The track serves as a high-energy homage to the character.
GV Prakash Kumar noted the connection between music and Spider-Man: "They both have the power to connect people across the world.
You don't have to come from the same place or speak the same language to feel a connection."
He added, "Getting the opportunity to compose a song for such a beloved and eagerly awaited film has been incredibly exciting.
It's an honour to contribute my own sound to that journey."
Choreographer Sandy Master said, "Every step was created with the idea of making people smile, move, and celebrate a character who has inspired generations across the world."
Online reactions to the Tamil track were enthusiastic. One user wrote, "GV Prakash never misses when it comes to high-energy tracks."
Another commented, "Pure vibe," while a third posted, "Marvel meets GV Prakash."
Directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, Spider-Man: Brand New Day stars Tom Holland, Zendaya, Jacob Batalon, Mark Ruffalo, Jon Bernthal, and Michael Mando.
The film will be released across India in English, Hindi, Tamil, Telugu, Kannada, and Malayalam.
