Indiana Fever guard Caitlin Clark arrived at the arena in relaxed attire on Friday night ahead of her team's matchup against the Portland Fire.
Indiana looks to extend its four-game winning streak and preserve its position atop the Eastern Conference standings.
The Fever entered Friday night's contest with an 18-10 record after winning three straight games prior to the midseason pause.
Clark's steady play has propelled Indiana into first place in the East, tied with the Atlanta Dream heading into the All-Star break.
Teammate Aliyah Boston is working through a lower-leg injury.
Beyond her performance on the court, Clark has expanded her personal pursuits during the 2026 season.
In an interview clip shared on the WNBA's official Instagram page, she revealed her recent interest in home gardening during her off-duty hours.
When asked what non-basketball skill she would choose to master instantly, Clark did not hesitate to name her new activity.
"Because I'm gardening right now, and, like, I've always wanted a garden. Sometimes it's a little harder than it looks.
I usually just take a picture of my plant, and then I ask the internet what I should do to it, and that's how I know.
But yeah, gardening," said Clark.
She elaborated on the specific plants she is currently attempting to cultivate at home.
"A few different types of tomatoes, jalapenos, basil and lavender. So we're starting slow this year.
We're hoping to pick it up next year," said Clark.
Her current focus on gardening marks a shift from her previous offseason hobbies.
During a February 2025 interview shared on Nike's social media page, Clark noted another unexpected passion from her college days in Iowa.
"I used to play video games a good amount in college with my friends, especially over Christmas break when you just have basketball and you're the only people on campus," said Clark.
When asked during the WNBA interview what movie genre would best describe her life, Clark offered a brief personal assessment.
"Psychological thriller, probably," said Clark.
Prior to Friday's regular-season action, Clark traveled to Chicago for the 2026 WNBA All-Star festivities hosted by the Chicago Sky.
Despite the intense rivalry between Indiana and Chicago, Clark expressed positive sentiments about visiting the city, as reported by USA Sports.
"I like Chicago, it's a good city," said Clark.
Clark participated as a starter in Saturday's WNBA All-Star Game and made an appearance at WNBA Live at McCormick Place alongside teammate Kelsey Mitchell and league stars including Paige Bueckers, A'ja Wilson, Napheesa Collier, Cameron Brink, Lauren Betts, and Kaitlyn Chen.
Looking ahead to the remainder of the schedule, Clark focused on maintaining Indiana's momentum.
"I'll be excited to get back here with my team and keep this rolling. I think we're playing good basketball right now," said Clark.
